Committee on Aging Neighbors:

On September 3, 2019, the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council established a Committee of the Board. The Committee on Aging Neighbors is chaired by the Elder Director during his or her term on the Board. The Committee will work to the highest standard to accomplish its mission.

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the Committee on Aging Neighbors to work for, and alongside, the most valued neighbors within our community. Our older neighbors deserve a committee focused on their quality of life, independence, dignity, health, safety, and livelihood.

The Committee’s mission is accomplished in the following ways:

  1. Through the formation of a diverse, multi-generational committee,
  2. Through scheduled meetings, printed/online communication, and open dialogue forums with community stakeholders of all ages,
  3. Through community outreach, including town halls, resource fairs, and social gatherings,
  4. Through advocacy awareness of city, county, state, and federal resources.

Family, neighbors, and friends over 60 living among us are the sole priority of the Committee on Aging Neighbors.
